Raspberry Salsa (Hot & Sweet Salsa)

 2 cups raspberry
 ¼ cup red onion chopped finely
 1 jalapeno chopped finely
 2 tsp minced garlic
 1 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
 ½ tsp salt
 1 tbsp maple syrup
 2 tbsp cilantro chopped finely

To make homemade raspberry salsa combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix well. Press some raspberries with a spatula to release their juices and mix well. Adjust salt, and sweetness as per taste.

Let it sit for 30 minutes in the fridge. It tastes great when served chilled.

Press raspberries while mixing, it helps in releasing their juices and create a flavor profile.
You can use frozen red raspberry as well to make this salsa. Just thaw the frozen one and then follow the rest of the recipe.
Cilantro is optional, so if you like to skip it, you can.
Adding red chili flakes gives extra heat which goes well with the other flavors.
