Paper Pie

My name is Katie I am a momma to a 7yr old boy and 7.5 month old twins (boy/girl). When I first discovered Usborne Books & More I was a first time mom to my oldest son Oliver and knew that I wanted to make reading a priority as he grew. I searched all over at yard sales and thrift stores for the perfect books from my childhood to read to him. He was 6 months old at the time and I stumbled into a book party on Facebook and completely fell in love with the amazing books that Usborne Books & More had to offer. I was super excited by how interactive and fun they were and even more blown away by the amazing quality once I received them. I later decided to become a consultant while I was working full time in the medical field as an X-ray tech in a Cardiac Cath lab, I was working hard to support my husband through full time school, he was away, out of town 6-7 days a week and we needed a little extra income to help get us by and keep us from accumulating even more debt during his last year and half of school. This side gig quickly turned into something I really loved, I’ve been able to fill my home with these beautiful books that I’ve earned for free, met so many amazing friends from my team and from the parties over the past 6 years and have earned 4 free trips with the company. I started my journey with the High Desert Farmers Market because I wanted to share my love of these books with as many people as I could, I wanted them to enjoy some of the special moments that I’ve been able to share with my son throughout the years as we’ve read together. These books have helped up to spend a few extra moments unplugged from the world, snuggled up together, laughing or talking about the things we’re were reading, I will forever be grateful for that and hope that you will find that same atmosphere as you slow down and read these books with the little ones in your life.
